Don Monzingo

Bio
Snowbirding in PebbleCreek from Omaha, Nebraska a warm welcome to our new tennis club member Don Monzingo. Having bought a house here in 2019 and with encouragement from his wife Sue, Don is now adding tennis to his other activities of golf and pickleball. You will see him in January on the tennis courts when he returns from Nebraska.
Pat Collins

Bio
Pat recently purchased a home and is a full-time resident. She lived in San Diego for 50 years and decided to move to Arizona. Pat enjoyed what the West Valley in Maricopa County provided with Over 55 Communities, but selected PebbleCreek as the house she purchased drew her in. Pat was exposed to tennis through her children, who played tennis in high school. She observed how much fun and how they loved it, that she decided to join in the fun. You can find Pat during the week at drop-in, where the ladies welcomed her into the game, and at the 3.0 Sunday Mixers.
Stephanie Verderame

Bio
Stephanie recently purchased a home in February 2025 and lives here full time. Before moving into Goodyear, she lived in Surprise. Stephanie was familiar with PebbleCreek, with our many amenities, and is thrilled to be here. Stephanie works for the VA, has played tennis for 15 years, plays competitively with USTA, and the West Valley Women’s Tennis League (with another Club).
Don Krull

Bio
Don Krull is a long time Phoenician, retired from Alaska Airlines as an airline pilot, but the spirit of flying gnawed on him, and is working six more weeks (end of April) until retirement from an independent airline carrier in Tucson.
They purchased their home in the last year, and are excited to be amongst PebbleCreek’s Community. Don played tennis in high school, and will begin to play Men’s Drop In very soon.
Randy Collins

Bio
Randy is originally from Illinois, lived in Colorado 40 years. He has 2 boys ages 44 and 42. Randy and his girlfriend Marybeth have lived in PC for only 4 months.
He is very connected to the tennis club already, and plays in Doug Stansfield group 3 days a week and is a sub for the Amigos .
Marybeth enjoys cycling big time and Randy plays tennis nearly daily .
Susan Jones

Bio
Susan Jones is from Northern Utah, and escaping the cold winters to play tennis is a focus for her. Her enthusiasm to join the Tennis Club is exciting to see, as she intends to engage in the sport in group play or team practices. Susan had an injury for three years, keeping her away from the sport, but is fully healed, and intends to resume to her 3.5 status. Susan is renting with intentions to purchase in the next few months.

Rob McGarva

Bio
Rob and his wife of nearly 40 years are from Canada. He plays Pickleball and tennis regularly, and some golf. They moved to PC about 3 years ago.
His wife is a fitness guru and they both enjoy the theater, and the many PC amenities. They are well connected to the PC campus.
Sandro Desimone

Bio
Sandro and his wife Julie live in Ontario, Canada, and have been married for 36 years. They moved to PC in 2013 and have become much more involved in PC activities..
In Ontario they still work and are involved with podiatry, a shoe store and spa businesses.
He plays golf and tennis, and Julie enjoys Crafts and pottery, card games. They have two daughters .
Eugene Mikula

Bio
Eugene arrived in PebbleCreek four years ago with wife Anna, after spending thirty-five years in Chicago as a licensed civil engineer and architect. Before Chicago he was a citizen of Poland. Tennis has been his passion for the past thirty years.
Ben Loeb

Bio
Ben and his wife Sarah are renting as snowbirds from Columbia, Missouri. Ben brings sixty years of tennis-playing experience. Retired from teaching high school Business Education and Sports Psychology, Ben is currently coaching a high school tennis team.
Steve Dicker

Bio
Steve Dicker is a familiar face with the Tennis Club, as he was the Club Treasurer in 2021. Steve left the Club and PebbleCreek’s activities to deal with his health. Leaving New York, Steve has resided here for four years, He is a full-time renter. When asked how long Steve has played tennis, his response “ A long time”. Look for Steve on the Amigos and other Tennis Socials.
Ken Regalia

Bio
Ken and his wife, Sheri, are from Petaluma, in Northern California. They purchased their home in 2021, are Snow Birds, and enjoy the winters at PebbleCreek. Ken is not new to the Tennis Club, and joined two years ago, took some time away to focus on selling their home in the Bay Area, and remodeling their new residence. Ken shared with me, he captained a 4.0 USTA/Volvo League.
Lori Nicol & Mark Grey

Bio
Lori Nicol and Mark Grey joined our Tennis Club soon after arriving from Spokane, Washington for a three-month stay. They both love tennis and have played USTA in Washington.
Lori and Mark have been a couple for 17 years, and have played tennis for many years: Lori for 32 years, as a 4.0 player; Mark for 10 years, as a 3.5 player. What impressed them about our Tennis Club and our membership is not only the amenities, but how friendly our membership is, and the residents at PebbleCreek.
Rick Heigh

Bio
Rick and Kathleen were flight attendants (Alaska Airlines) and married for 21 years.
They had friends at PebbleCreek and were very familiar with our community for years before officially moving to PC five years ago. Now they are permanent residents here.
They both played more golf and pickleball than tennis, but they are now getting connected to our tennis community. They are a very active couple and love the amenities we offer.
Jo Anne Cohn

Bio
Jo Anne Cohn decided to try tennis after playing other racquet sports, and her athleticism and enthusiasm show! Jo Anne is from Santa Rosa, California, and spends her winters at PebbleCreek, enjoying what PebbleCreek delivers best: sports in the warmth of the Arizona desert. Jo Anne’s excitement for tennis “hit the ground running” and is involved with Tammie’s classes, Ladies Drop-In, and any group tennis to learn more of the game.

June Evanson

Bio
June Evanston, along with her husband Mark (social membership) purchased a home at PebbleCreek in 2022, to enjoy the winters at PebbleCreek, while keeping their home in Washington State. COVID changed their employment status, and retirement became a reality, with the focus to spend winters away from Washington.
June began tennis in high school, coached tennis at the middle school while working. They are excited to be part of the Tennis Club and engage in the many activities the Club provides, and what PebbleCreek offers. June intends to play Ladies Drop-in to reacquaint herself to the game.

Scott and Ann Root

Bio
Anne Root along with her husband Scott, purchased their home in July 2024 to escape the winters at Wichita, Kansas. They are thrilled to be part of PebbleCreek with the many amenities offered.
Anne is a former 3.5 player, played team tennis until an injury to her ankle sidelined for awhile. Along with Scott, both are enthusiastic to be part of the Tennis Club, and look forward to the Club’s activities and group play.

Mark Cromer

Bio
Mark has been married to Jayne for 47 years from Nebraska, and are here year around, but take trips periodically.
They have lived in PebbleCreek since 2019 and have two children and seven grandkids.
Marks key interest are improving his tennis game, life-long learning and Wi bowling.
He played tennis long ago, and is now taking several classes with our professional pro Tammie Pearson. He is improving his tennis game.
