FAQs
what you need to know
How do I get started? What steps do I take to get connected to tennis here?
Anyone can walk onto a court in PC without a reservation and play. However, if you want to book a court, you need to be approved for a PC tennis CourtReserve account (our booking app).
You must be a PC resident or an HOA Registered Renter (with a PC ID card) in order to reserve courts. If you are, your first step is to apply online on our website. You’ll see the different types of accounts to choose from on our homepage. Click on each one to find the right account for you. Complete and submit the application online. You’ll receive an email from the tennis club letting you know that we’ve received your application, and it is “pending” approval while your residency is being verified.
Once verified as eligible for a PC tennis CourtReserve account, you’ll receive an email with your approval followed by an email with instructions on how to activate your PC tennis CourtReserve account. You will not be able to use CourtReserve until you activate your account by logging in, signing your electronic waiver, and if joining the club as a member, paying your membership fee.
Once you have activated your account, you’ll be able to book courts, the ball machine, see the daily schedule of activities, sign up for mixers and events, lessons and drills…. depending on your type of account. For club members, we provide the activities and the player is responsible for signing up and joining in the fun!
Is there a club phone number, tennis pro shop or tennis reception desk to talk to someone about tennis in PC?
Our tennis club is run by member volunteers of the tennis club board. We do not have paid staff to attend to admin duties or man a “front desk.” But our board volunteers do their best to get back to you as soon as possible! All communication is through our club email: info@pctennis.club.
We do not have a pro shop, and there is no formal reception desk or tennis office. However, our main Clubhouse is housed in the TF sports building by courts 12 & 13. There you will find bulletin boards with up-to-date information on club activities, and all our tennis socials are held there. The club stores and maintains equipment including a club refrigerator in the clubhouse. There are sports buildings at both court sites (Eagle’s Nest and Tuscany Falls) with restrooms, tables and kitchenettes, but they are unattended by staff.
Players with PC Tennis CourtReserve accounts can book courts and sign up for events online in CourtReserve. Information on club activities are listed in CourtReserve as well as contact directories for other club members.
Is there a ball machine that I can use?
Can I rent rackets and buy balls on site?
Since we are a volunteer- run club, we don’t store tennis gear for purchase. Rackets can be rented at the fitness centers for $5 a day.
Can I use the courts if I’m not a tennis club member? How about my guests?
Yes, non-members who are PebbleCreek residents can use the courts. If you become a registered non-member, you can reserve courts using CourtReserve (via our website at pctennis.club). Guests are welcome. However, young children should not be on the court without being accompanied by an adult. Please check out our “Rules and Safety” page for more guidelines on using the courts.
How do I get on a team or join a social group?
I don’t have a tennis rating. How do I know what level I should play in tournaments, socials and groups?
Check out our “Resources” page for recommendations on self-ratings. You can also contact us to connect you with our pro for a ratings assessment at info@pctennis.club
How do I pay for my membership or events?
All our payment transactions are managed securely online by credit card or echeck. You are in control of your payment profile in CourtReserve (our booking app). No other club member (or even board member) can access your payment information. All club members must have a credit card or echeck information stored in their CourtReserve payment profile in order to pay for annual membership fees and events. Questions? Feel free to email us at info@pctennis.club
What's the difference between CourtReserve and the PC Tennis Club website?
They are 2 different things, but both important. Our website is accessible to anyone and features information and photos about our club, as well as our application to sign up for a tennis account. It’s like an online brochure of the club with an invitation to join.
In contrast, CourtReserve is a stand-alone booking app that is used by players to book courts, the ball machine, book lessons, and sign up for events. You must be approved to use our PC tennis CourtReserve account by applying online via our website.
When you apply online for approval as a club member, visitor, or non-member, you will be given directions on how to activate your PC Tennis Club CourtReserve account. You must be a PC resident or HOA Registered Renter (with a renter ID card) to be eligible for club membership or to register as a non-member. Visitors may also register for an account with limited access. See our website to learn more about the different types of accounts available for tennis at PC.
